Fleet newcomer finds DAVIS Fleet ‘invaluable’
The DAVIS Fleet platform is an invaluable fleet management tool for managing every aspect of the vehicle fleet on an easy-to-use, day-to-day basis, and especially so for a newcomer to fleet management.
That’s the view of Emma Curtis, Fleet and Business Support Executive at Bristol-based air hygiene and water treatment solutions provider, Airmec Essential Services, who has been in fleet for just nine months and is responsible for the smooth operation of 38 cars and vans on the Airmec fleet.
Airmec is the chosen supplier for high security Government establishments and NHS premises, operating on a national basis with 30 diesel vans for technicians, mainly Ford Transit Custom models, plus eight company cars for account managers with a mix of hybrids and EVs.
Curtis, who was previously a case worker for an MP who lost his seat at the last General Election, uses DAVIS Fleet, the award-winning analytical fleet management solution from Licence Check, to manage every aspect of the Airmec fleet.
“As a newcomer to the fleet industry, DAVIS Fleet is a really invaluable platform which gives me all the information I need at my finger tips to run our fleet effectively, “says Curtis.
Fully integrated within DAVIS (Driver And Vehicle Information Solutions), Licence Check’s market-leading risk management platform, DAVIS Fleet is designed to provide managers of fleets of all sizes with actionable and insightful management information from a continuous stream of data variables. The emphasis is on ease of use, making it viable for all levels of fleet manager, whether inexperienced or experienced practitioners.
Curtis uses DAVIS Fleet on a daily basis from adding new vehicles, service, maintenance and repair scheduling, managing insurance claims, PIID reporting, managing mileages, fines management and measuring CO2 emissions.
All the Airmec vehicles are fitted with Trackers which are deployed to measure vehicle downtime and monitor driving habits. High risk drivers, those who have had several claims, are invited to take online driver training.
“DAVIS Fleet is my go-to for day to day management of our fleet. It is so self-explanatory and so user-friendly. I really enjoy using it and couldn’t envisage doing this job without it. It gives me the whole fleet at the touch of a button,” she said.
Curtis also uses the licence check facility within the platform, checking drivers’ licences based on the points they have on their licences, with low risk drivers checked annually and higher risk drivers every six months.
“Everything is contained on and managed through DAVIS Fleet and. as a result, we are now a virtually paperless office,” adds Curtis.
DAVIS Fleet is a highly effective fleet management solution because it provides fleet managers with dashboard views of all exceptions, including under and over mileages, vehicles nearing mileage limits or requiring servicing, vehicles without mileages recorded and all notifiable defects.
Licence Check managing director, Keith Allen, said: “DAVIS Fleet is highly effective for fleets of all sizes, and as Emma Curtis has shown, is very easy to use and understand so that a newcomer can manage the fleet as effectively as an experienced fleet manager.
“Our primary aim is to help all fleet managers manage their fleets in a more cost effective, risk efficient and sustainable manner, and to move the DAVIS platform from what was widely known as simply a licence checking platform to a comprehensive fleet management offering for car and van fleet operators,” he added.
