Fleets see compliance benefits after migrating to new DriverCheck DAVIS platform
DriverCheck and Licence Check have announced a new strategic partnership that is seeing DriverCheck clients migrated to an enhanced and future-ready platform: DriverCheck DAVIS. The move brings together the trusted expertise of DriverCheck, the powerful technology capabilities of DAVIS and the compliance leadership of Licence Check — all operating under the Ebbon Group umbrella.
The new DriverCheck DAVIS platform has been designed to deliver an improved customer experience, enhanced functionality, streamlined compliance management, and greater operational efficiency for fleets and businesses managing drivers.
By combining the strengths of DriverCheck and Licence Check within the DAVIS ecosystem, clients will benefit from a more connected and scalable platform that supports evolving fleet compliance and driver management needs whilst still having full support from the DriverCheck team based in Glasgow.
More than 200 businesses with over 100,000 company drivers between them have so far been successfully migrated across to the new DriverCheck DAVIS platform and are now seeing a host of fleet compliance benefits.
One of the first fleets to make the transition is Cornwall-based Corserv Solutions, a diverse group of companies owned by Cornwall Council, providing infrastructure, engineering, social care, facilities management, inward investment, transport and other essential services to Cornwall and beyond.
With a fleet of over 2,500 assets, including plant and HGVs, and with 6,000 drivers, the sheer volume of compliance was previously a significant challenge, requiring a system capable of handling a fleet operation of real scale, said Fleet Compliance Manager, Dominic Palmer.
The DriverCheck DAVIS platform fitted the bill perfectly, he said. “I found the transition incredibly smooth. I have always operated systems in parallel until I am confident all is fine; however, this was live and completely stress-free,” said Mr Palmer whose first impressions of the system were that the new interface had a “modern theme that was both intuitive and user-friendly.”
Amongst the standout features of the new system, he said, were the speed and the depth of the reporting, with customised reports that provided the ability to extract information at any required level. “The system also has a strong vocational focus and the addition of the Driver CPC qualification on the system has provided a massive benefit for us in managing vocational drivers. There has also been a significant step-up in efficiency, while the ease of electronically emailing declarations has replaced old, manual workflows,” he said.
With all licence compliance for the fleet now managed by the DriverCheck team, Mr Palmer a member of the Logistics UK Freight Forum, said he was now free to focus on managing the fleet in a wider sense. “The support from the DriverCheck team has been outstanding, and the new DriverCheck Davis platform is, for me, the pinnacle,” he added. For fleets transitioning to the new DriverCheck DAVIS platform there are an array of other benefits, including access to award-winning services such as DAVIS Fleet, the analytical fleet management solution which gives fleet managers greater visibility, reduced admin, enhanced compliance and heightened control over their fleets.
Another benefit is access to DAVIS Coaching which assesses the strengths and weakness of company drivers and provides greater insight into training course performance, while offering targeted online training modules delivered by a dedicated driver app.
And with the new DriverCheck DAVIS platform, there is no need for existing drivers to go through the permission process again to move platforms nor are there any extra costs involved.
To underline its commitment to online security, DriverCheck has recently been awarded Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation, a higher-level, UK Government-backed cyber security certification that independently verifies an organisation’s IT systems against common threats and helps businesses operate securely online.
Yvette Giannini, Managing Director of Glasgow-based DriverCheck, said: “The transition of clients to the new DriverCheck DAVIS platform continues apace and to date has progressed seamlessly due to the outstanding commitment of the teams involved.
“By moving across to the DriverCheck DAVIS platform, our clients will see a host of new and additional benefits that will make their task of meeting compliance requirements and managing their fleets more efficient and more effective.”
DriverCheck’s client base includes a host of household names in the insurance, utilities and automotive sectors, with an aggregate total of around 400,000 drivers, including 18,000 grey fleet drivers, spread across its client portfolio.
