Licence Check adds new supplier management feature to DAVIS Fleet
Licence Check has added a new supplier management feature to its award-winning analytical fleet management solution, DAVIS Fleet, to give fleet and finance managers greater transparency and accountability of their SMR spend.
The Derby-based company, part of the newly renamed Ebbon Fleet Solutions division, recently announced a number of powerful new features, including vehicle inspections, defect and downtime management, BIK taxation and fines management for DAVIS Fleet, which are already proving popular with users.
The new supplier management release, like the previous features, is fully integrated within DAVIS (Driver and Vehicle Information Solutions), Licence Check’s market-leading risk management platform, via DAVIS Fleet and is designed to provide fleet managers with actionable and insightful management information without lengthy interrogations.
The new feature allows fleet managers to input all the suppliers they use for SMR work, including servicing, repairs, tyres and glass, and then identify the spend within each area, showing how much and with whom the greatest spend is being made.
This allows the fleet manager to run reports detailing where most services are being carried out, with which supplier and the value of the spend over periodic intervals, such as six or 12 monthly intervals and any management decisions to be taken accordingly.
The new feature continues the development process Licence Check has put in place for DAVIS Fleet which is intended to give fleet managers greater functionality to help run their fleets more efficiently with greater insight and without wading through huge amounts of data.
Amongst the recently launched features, which have typically been developed following client feedback, downtime management is proving one of the most popular as it allows fleet managers to evaluate the reliability of the vehicles on their fleet by quantifying the amount of time they spend off the road for any given period.
Depending on the outcome, this can provide the necessary information to go back to the supplying manufacturer to negotiate better terms, as well as identifying the most reliable, and unreliable, vehicles.
Also popular is the fines management module which gives the ability to manage fines, such as speeding tickets, DART charges, Ringo charges, parking permits and annual subscriptions within DAVIS Fleet.
Fleet managers can assign fines against a driver and vehicle, highlighting repeat offenders and high risk drivers, as well as quantifying any recharges against drivers for fines received.
DAVIS Fleet is a highly effective fleet management solution because it does not generate reams of unmanageable information. Instead, fleet managers receive highly visual exception reports, covering such issues as under and over mileages, vehicle off-road times, notifiable defects, driver performance and many more.
Licence Check managing director, Keith Allen, said: “This latest release adds further to the extensive armoury we are developing for fleet managers within DAVIS Fleet.
“Our objective is to make their roles more manageable, by the use of sophisticated, yet easy to use and transparent solutions to reduce task time and improve fleet management effectiveness.
“We have further new features in the pipeline which we will introduce on a planned basis and which will further consolidate vital fleet information into one integrated solution to allow fleet managers to do their job more efficiently,” he added.
