Supporting Mental Health Every Day at Ebbon Group
World Mental Health Day – 10th October 2025
At Ebbon Group, we know that when our people feel supported, they thrive and so does our business. This World Mental Health Day, we’re reflecting on the importance of wellbeing and the steps we take every day to support our colleagues’ mental health.
Our Commitment to Wellbeing
Through Ebbon Life, our company-wide wellbeing programme, we’ve built a culture that puts people first. It’s driven by our Ebbon Life Champions, who bring to life initiatives that make a real difference to mental, physical and social wellbeing across all our offices.
From improving policies and running awareness sessions, to encouraging volunteering and work-life balance, Ebbon Life ensures that wellbeing isn’t just something we talk about – it’s part of how we work.
Mental Health Support in Practice
Our Wellbeing Policy provides holistic support covering mental, physical and financial health. All colleagues can access 24/7 GP and counselling services through BHSF, giving peace of mind and practical help when it’s needed most.
We also have a network of seven trained Mental Health First Aiders across the business, offering confidential support and guidance. They’re a vital part of fostering an open, caring environment where it’s okay to ask for help.Awareness and Inclusion
Over the past year, we’ve held regular sessions on mental health awareness, stress management and burnout, alongside expert-led talks on menopause and men’s health. Our Menopause Policy and annual training have helped create understanding and support for those experiencing menopause, and for those around them.
We’re also strengthening our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion work through regular training, open conversations and upcoming neurodiversity awareness sessions ensuring everyone feels valued and supported.
Balance, Connection and Community
We believe mental health is nurtured through connection and balance. Our hybrid working model and flexible approach help colleagues manage work around their lives. We also make space for the small things that make a big difference. Team lunches, wellbeing activities, and an extra day off to celebrate each colleague’s birthday.
Giving back is another important part of wellbeing. Through our Volunteering Policy, every employee can take two paid days a year to support local causes via OnHand. Each of our offices also chooses a Charity of the Year, helping us support organisations like Oxfordshire Youth, me&dee, PEEK Project and Maggie’s Oxford.
Wellbeing Every Day
Ebbon Life isn’t a one-off initiative – it’s part of who we are. It’s about creating an environment where people feel respected, included and able to be their best selves.
This World Mental Health Day, we’re proud of the culture we’ve built and the progress we’ve made and we remain committed to keeping wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.
